Qoloni is an educational tool that helps users understand how foods may affect IBS symptoms. We take your privacy seriously. This policy explains what we collect, why, and how you can control it.
We generate a random identifier stored locally on your device. It contains no name, email, or phone. We use it only to link your purchases and scan balance to your device without requiring an account.
For each scan we store: timestamp, the food description you type (optional), and the estimated technical cost. Food images are never persisted on our servers โ they are forwarded to Gemini AI for analysis and discarded immediately after the response.
The information you enter (IBS pattern, FODMAP phase, sensitivities) is saved locally on your device only in SharedPreferences. It is only sent to our servers as part of the prompt to Gemini at analysis time.
Purchase receipts (Apple/Google) are stored for verification and credit issuance. We do not store any payment details โ Apple and Google handle billing entirely.
All app-to-server traffic is encrypted with HTTPS (TLS 1.3). Server-side data lives in an encrypted database. The API is protected by rate limiting.
The app is not intended for children under 13. If we discover that a child has signed up, we delete their data immediately.
Qoloni is an educational app, not a medical device. Results are AI-generated suggestions and do not replace consultation with a doctor or dietitian. Do not use the app to diagnose a medical condition or to delay treatment.
We may update this policy. We will notify you of significant changes inside the app before they take effect.
